Service Description

PCR BIOMARKERS: - Chlamydia trachomatis (CT): Detects the bacteria causing chlamydia infection. - Haemophilus ducreyi (HD): Identifies the bacteria responsible for chancroid ulcers. - Herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1): Detects viral DNA linked mainly to oral herpes but can affect genitals. - Herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2): Detects viral DNA primarily associated with genital herpes. - Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG): Identifies the bacteria that cause gonorrhoea. - Mycoplasma genitalium (MG): Detects bacteria linked to urethritis, cervicitis, and pelvic infections . - Mycoplasma hominis (MH): Identifies bacteria sometimes associated with genital and urinary tract infections. - Treponema pallidum (TP – Syphilis): Detects DNA of the bacterium causing syphilis. - Trichomonas vaginalis (TV): Identifies the parasite responsible for trichomoniasis. - Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU): Detects bacteria that can contribute to genital and urinary tract infections. IMMUNOASSAY BIOMARKERS: - Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg): Indicates active hepatitis B infection. - Hepatitis B antibodies (anti-HBs): Shows immunity from past infection or vaccination. - Hepatitis C antibodies (anti-HCV): Indicates past or ongoing hepatitis C exposure. - HIV 1/2/0 antigen (HIV Ag): Identifies HIV infection by detecting early viral proteins.
