This test involves taking multiple blood samples ( 4 times) throughout the day to assess cortisol level fluctuations. Cortisol levels increase in response to stress and help the body cope with stressful situations. High Cortisol Level (Cushing's Syndrome): A chronically high cortisol level can be a sign of Cushing's syndrome, a condition where your body produces too much cortisol for an extended period.
