Symptoms of Infection: Chlamydia often has no symptoms, which is why regular screening is recommended for sexually active individuals, especially those with new or multiple partners. When symptoms do occur, they might include: In Women: -- Abnormal vaginal discharge which might be yellow or green in color. -- Burning sensation when urinating. -- Pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic region. -- Bleeding between periods or after sex. -- Rectal pain, discharge, or bleeding if the infection has spread to the rectum -- Conjunctivitis (pink eye) if the bacteria infects the eye.
