This test is designed to identifying genetic predispositions to breast, ovarian and other cancers. These genes are involved in critical pathways like DNA repair, tumor suppression, and cell cycle regulation. Mutations in these genes can significantly increase the risk of developing certain cancers, including breast, ovarian, prostate, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers. Biomarkers - BRCA1,BRCA2 (breast, ovarian) - BARD1, BRIP1, RAD51C, RAD51D (breast, ovarian) - TP53 (Li-Fraumeni syndrome) - ATM (breast, pancreatic and prostate) - PALB2 ( breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancer) - MRE11A, RAD50, NBN (breast cancer and lymphoma) - FAM175A (ABRAXAS) breast cancer - STK11 (Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, gastrointestinal, pancreatic, ovarian, and breast cancers) - MEN1 Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 1, (parathyroid, pituitary, and pancreatic) - PTEN Cowden syndrome (breast, thyroid, endometrial, and colon cancers). - CDH1 (gastric cancer, lobular breast cancer). - MUTYH (colorectal cancer) - CHEK2 (breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and prostate cancer). - BLM Bloom syndrome (leukemia and colon cancer) - XRCC2 (breast cancer risk) Sample: BLOOD (2 x EDTA) Results: 3 weeks Phlebotomy fee: £15 (included in price)
